Kina Forney

My name is Kina Forney and I am an artist focused primarily on painting in acrylics and oils. I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts at Concordia University. I paint full time as part of the Loft Artists collective. I have been working freelance as an artist for over 10 years, and have recently started teaching at the Ottawa School of Art and at the Beacon Hill Craft Club. I am a strong believer in equal access to the arts and in building art-centered community. I co-founded Artawa: a free collective of artists meeting at the Ottawa Art Gallery monthly to create, network and exchange ideas in a non-judgmental, supportive environment.
